Chirpy Heat’s B Corp certification is a milestone that continues to inspire and motivate us. Working in the evolving world of social housing heat networks, particularly as the energy sector becomes increasingly regulated, challenges us to think creatively, act responsibly, and deliver meaningful impact. B Corp Month gives us the perfect opportunity to pause, reflect, and celebrate how this certification shapes our work and benefits the communities we serve. 

Becoming a B Corp was just the beginning. It sparked conversations across our team about what we do, why we do it, and how we do it. These conversations have grown into an ongoing dialogue across the business, influencing the way we operate, design services for our clients, and grow our team – all while staying true to the values that B Corp embodies. 

What B Corp Means to Us 

B Corp is more than a badge – it reflects how we work, what we value, and the impact we strive to create: 

  • People – We build a fair, flexible, inclusive, and continuously learning team, because how we work matters as much as what we deliver. 
  • Ethos – We partner with housing providers to deliver trusted, reliable heat for the communities they serve. 
  • Environment – We create solutions that help housing providers reduce carbon emissions and operate more sustainably. 
Our Progress 

While our 25/26 Annual Impact Report will be released later this year, looking back at our 24/25 Annual Impact Report shows significant developments: 

  • Grown responsibly – turnover up 46%, client base up 50%, and team size up 40%. 
  • Expanded our impact – introducing new services for environmental education and client-focused improvement. 
  • Amplified positive outcomes – increasing the number of people we train, carbon savings delivered, and funding secured – all supporting our mission to provide affordable, compliant, reliable, low-carbon heat networks. 

 

These achievements are more than numbers. They reflect the dedication, creativity, and care of our colleagues, clients, partners, and suppliers. B Corp has provided the foundation for all of this, guiding our decisions and shaping the philosophy that drives Chirpy Heat forward.
