Course Two: Heat Network Operation & Maintenance for the Housing Sector [Online] 

📅 Date: Wednesday 25th February 2026

A technical introduction to heat networks for non-technical people. The course will help you become a more effective heat networks client by understanding how heat networks work, what can go wrong, how to run them well and how to maximise your heat network investment.

This hands-on course will help you:

• Understand key components and good design practices
• Identify common pitfalls and optimise performance across the energy centre, distribution, and in-dwelling systems
• Deliver efficient heat networks through data management, repairs, KPIs, and metering
• Prepare for the Heat Network Technical Assurance Scheme (HNTAS)
• Become an intelligent, high-performing heat network client

This course would be aimed towards, but not limited to, your finance, and management and services departments, property services, repairs and maintenance, development and asset teams, and resident liaison officers.

Both courses run for approximately 3.5 to 4 hours, including a couple of short breaks. Our aim is to deliver an interactive and engaging session that covers as much relevant content as possible, ensuring that learning is maximised and knowledge is retained by all attendees.

We have been appointed as a Heat Network Training Provider by the Government for the third year running. This means we can offer housing providers and your contractors free training.

What’s included: 4 hour CPD accredited interactive training course, slides to be shared afterwards, interactive sessions (Strategic Approaches only) to help identify immediate challenges the organisation is facing and position mapping exercise to understand current compliance position (interactive session outputs also shared after the session).
